Winding down for the weekend - there are several bottles of good white wine with my name on them just waiting to be downed. But first:

One of my volunteers asked me to take a parcel to the post office. I noticed that there was no post code on it, so I offered to look it up on the (actually quite useful) Royal Mail online postcode finder.

"Oh no, don't! My gran hates postcodes - she doesn't believe in them. We're not allowed to send her anything with it written on..."

Ah, grans and their lovely funny ways. Mine refused to give up smoking when she moved into a supported senior's flat - and she set off the smoke alarms week after week by smoking in her loo. She was known to alternately give $100 or shoe laces for christmas, and she would travel miles on the bus to buy milk for 50 cents cheaper than her local store. I miss her.

I love gixers. The Suzuki GSX-R1000's dominance are simple. Sublime, lithe ergonomics and handling, radical styling and full-on usable power. The bikes looks good too. Im thinking of buying one. gonna check out some motorcycle insurance quotes to see how much this beast is gonna cost me to get on the road. then i'll have to sweet talk the wife into letting me have one.
